This time, the company has brought certain concrete changes that are ought to make the device a lot better in performance and look a lot more premium.

Instead of plastic body in previous generation devices, the all new Xiaomi Redmi 3 sports a full metal uni-body design that is made out of magnesium alloy. On the back, the device features a unique diamond shaped pattern with 4166 stars arranged in it. They are visible only when light hits the surface at a certain angle.

The display size has been bumped up to 5 inches and the resolution remains to be the same at 1280 x 720. The device runs on Android Lollipop with the latest version of MIUI 7 on top of it. And the company has done a commendable job by including a battery pack of 4100 mAh in the device, which should be enough to last for a full day, or even two, on heavy usage.

To power the device, an octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 616 processor runs under the hood.
