The fight in the Indian budget segment is getting tough with every passing day and LG wants to establish itself as a big player. In a bid to do so, the company has launched several devices in the past, and now they have come up with a unique concept of dual screen setup with their LG X Screen.
Though the device comes with dual screen setup, but it isn’t like anything you had seen in past or you would expect. The front of the LG X Screen has a 4.93-inch 720p screen, which has an extended portion on the top measuring 1.76 inches and has a resolution of 520 x 80 pixels. The extra screen area will act as a secondary screen and will act as quick access to the most commonly used options.
The unconventional screen design is meant to help the user in certain ways. The secondary screen remains always on and lets the user check the basic things like time, date, notifications and battery status without the need to unlock the device. As per the Government of India’s initiative and directions, the added screen estate will also feature the panic button which can be used in the situations of distress to ensure the safety of the users.
With its fibreglass back and rounded corners, the device feels comfortable when held and operated with one hand. In terms of specifications, the LG X Screen is a fairly decent deal. It is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz along with Adreno 306 GPU for handling graphics. The 2 GB RAM manages multitasking and there is 16 GB of internal storage which is expandable up to 2 TB via microSD card.
The LG X Screen runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with 4G LTE connectivity. It sports a 13 MP shooter on the back which clicks some good shots even in the low light condition. Daylight shots are even better with optimum brightness, saturation and colour reproduction. Its 8 MP front facing camera also clicks decent shots.
It has been priced at Rs. 12990, and will be available exclusively on Snapdeal starting 20th July.
