It hasn’t been much time since Lenovo launched the K4 Note in India, and we have already started to receive details and images of the Lenovo K5 Note. While the K4 Note is a brilliant device with best in class features, the K5 Note seems to be a notch better.
The Chinese telecommunication equipment certification authority Tenaa has certified a new Lenovo device, which, according to an online media site, it is the upcoming Lenovo K5 Note. Tenaa has listed the device the model name of the device as K52t38.
According to the leak, the smartphone packs a 5.5-inch FHD 1920 x 1080 display, which seems to be an edge-to-edge display with really thin bezels. The device will be powered by Android 5.1 Lollipop version, and most probably, the device will feature Lenovo’s own UI over the Android version.
The Lenovo K5 Note will come in two variants – one with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, and the other one with 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal storage options. As far as battery is concerned, it will pack a 3500 mAh battery, and it seems to be one of the best in its class.
The rumoured device will feature an octo-core processor that will be clocked at 1.8 GHz. Rest of the details of the make of the SoC and accompanied GPU is still unknown. The camera of the back of the device will be of 13 MP, and the one on the front one will be an 8 MP unit.
As the listing states, the device will measure 152 x 75.7 x 8.49 mm, and its weight will be 165 grams. The device will also feature 4G LTE connectivity, just like most of the newly launched budget smartphones in India. Besides the specifications, the website has revealed most of the design aspects of the device.
The K5 Note will be missing one of the most important feature of the K4 Note – the dual front facing stereo speakers. Instead, Lenovo has given a single speaker on the back of the device. The shape fingerprint sensor has also been changed; it is now circular in shape, just like the Nexus devices. In terms of looks, the Lenovo K5 Note has a lot of similarities with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, which will soon be launched in India.
For better understating, Lenovo K4 Note was launched with 5.5 inches Full HD display, with dual stereo speakers on the front of the device. It runs on MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC, and was aided by 3 GB of RAM for better multitasking. The back of the device features a 13 MP camera with PDAF autofocus system. And just below the camera module, sits the fingerprint scanner for added security of the device and data.
While the K4 Note in itself is an interesting device and gives a pretty good value for money package to the consumers, the upcoming K5 Note seems to be an equally good device.
