Lenovo K4 Note : Lenovo has been quite bullish in the Indian smartphone market, especially in the budget segment. The latest one to enter the lot is the all new Lenovo K4 Note that comes with pretty amazing features and specifications. The highlight of the device is its fingerprint scanner, which we generally get to see only in high end devices.
Like most other Lenovo phones, this device also features loudspeaker with Dolby technology. And this time the company has included a set of two stereo speakers on the front, to give a theatre like surround sound effect with great volume level and clarity. The speakers produce an impressive sound of 5 watts!
Besides the two speakers on the front, the Lenovo K4 Note has a big, bright and vivid 5.5-inch display that supports a resolution of 1080 x 1920. That total to a pixel density of whopping 401 ppi. The screen is covered with Gorilla Glass 3 for added protection and offers viewing angles of 178 degrees, which is way better than most of the similarly priced smartphones.
Under the hood, the smartphone runs on MediaTek MT 6753 SoC, which is a 64-bit octa-core chip clocked at 1.3 GHz and is coupled with Mali T720MP3 GPU for top notch performance and gaming experience. Multitasking on this device is handled by 3GB of LP DDR3 RAM, and the its internal storage is rated at 16GB, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. Again, such configuration is seen in a mid to high end device, but Lenovo did a great job of bringing that level of experience to the budget segment too.
Besides this, the Lenovo K4 Note runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Lenovo’s own Vibe UI on top. It is expected that the phone will soon be upgraded to the latest Android flavour- Marshmallow. The dual-SIM phone supports 4G connectivity on both the SIM card slots, and is compatible with Indian LTE bands and networks. To power up the device, Lenovo has packed a 3300 mAh battery pack that takes care of the usage time. Especially considering the FHD display (and not a QHD one), the battery will easily last for more than a day on heavy usage, and that’s incredible.
For the photography enthusiasts, Lenovo has given a 13 MP camera on the back of the device, and is accompanied by dual LED, dual tone flash. The camera comes with ISOCELL technology for better lit shots even in the night with support for f/2.2 aperture and PDAF autofocus system, as seen in high end devices. the front of the device features a 5 MP camera for selfies. Right below the main camera, there is a fingerprint scanner for better security and easy access to the device.
The Lenovo K4 Note is a great package with amazing features and a optimum price tag of Rs. 11,999. The company has launched ANT VR headset for the device priced at Rs. 1,299, and Skullcandy Ando earphone for Rs. 1,299. The device will go on sale on January 19 exclusively on Amazon.in for Rs. 12,499, with bundled ANT VR headset. Customers can purchase the Skullcandy earphones and the VR headset separately as well.
