Intex now seems to be launching a new smartphone every fortnight, and all of them are launched around Rs. 5000 mark. This time, the company launched the Intex Aqua Joy at a very low price, and it comes with all the basic features that are essential in a smartphone. You can find the details below.
The display on the device is of 4 inches or 10.6 cm, and has a resolution of 800 x 480, giving it a pixel density of 233 ppi. The screen supports 16.7 million colours. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop version of the world’s most famous operating system. One major thing to note about the device is that the screen supports only one finger support, and you won’t be able to use multi-finger gestures, like pinching in and out for zooming out and in respectively.
It features quad-core ARM v7 Cortex processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, while the GPU on the device is ARM Mali400 MP2. The RAM capacity on Intex Aqua Joy is 512 MB, and it is of DDR2 variety. It has an internal storage of 4 GB, and it can be expanded via microSD card of up to 32 GB. The internal memory is mostly occupied by the OS and pre-installed apps.
Intex Aqua Joy features dual camera setup, and the front camera is a VGA one that can click images of up to 0.3 MP. While the image resolution of the front facing camera is 640 x 480, the back camera has a resolution of 800 x 480. The rear camera comes with dual LED flash, and both the cameras can shoot videos at 25 fps.
Coming to the battery capacity, it has a battery pack of 1450 mAh that is promised to give a talk time of 4-5 hours, and the standby time is rated at 140-160 hours. The device is 10.1 mm thick, and weighs about 110 grams. The smartphone features all the basic connectivity options, including the GPS. It will be made available in white and black colour options, and is priced at Rs. 2799. The device has fairly good amount of features considering its extremely low pricing.
