Huawei had already announced that it will launch the Hono 5X in India on January 28. But latest reports state that the company will most probably launch not one, but two smartphones on that day. One of them is for sure Honor 5X, and the other one is said to be the Honor Holly 2 Plus.
Huawei has been launching a lot of devices under its Honor brand name, and these two devices will widen the company’s product catalogue. The Honor Holly 2 Plus seems to be a stripped down version of the Honor 5X, and will miss certain prominent features of latter. It will feature a polycarbonate body and won’t have the fingerprint scanner.
The Honor Holly 2 Plus is said to ship with 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. It will run on 1.3 GHz quad-core processor, which will be assisted by 2 GB of RAM. Its internal storage is rated at 16 GB which is expandable up to 128 Gb via microSD card. It will have a battery pack of 4000 mAh and it seems to be best in class.
The dual SIM device supports 4G LTE connectivity to keep you future proof. On the camera front, the device will feature a 13 MP shooter on the back and a 5 MP shooter on the front for selfies. There is no information about the pricing of the device. And the company is yet to confirm that the device will launch in India or not.
Since Huawei Honor 5X is already available in China, we have all the details of the device. It will have a 5.5 inches IPS display with full HD resolution. An octa-core 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor powers the device, that gives the device an ability to quickly charge its 3000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology.
The device comes in two RAM options – 2 GB and 3 GB, with internal storage remaining the same at 16 GB. The memory can be expanded up to 128 GB using a microSD card. The back of the device features a 13 MP rear facing camera with dual tone LED flash. the front of the device has a 5 MP camera that comes with a f/2.0 aperture.
It is a dual SIM device and supports 4G LTE connectivity. The Honor 5X runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop Os with Emotion UI 3.1 on top. In China, the 2 GB variant was priced at CNY 999 (about Rs. 10,200), and the 3 GB variant was priced at CNY 1,399 (about Rs. 14,300).
While, not many days are left for the launch date, we are yet to receive a confirmed from the company if they will launch one device or two. Both of them seem interesting device and they would seem even better if the company launches them at appropriate price point. All we can do for now is to wait for official announcement of the devices.
