Don’t be surprised after reading the title; this is what the company claims are. CREO, a Bangalore based start-up released a teaser of their first smartphone- CREO Mark 1, and the company promises to push monthly OTA updates to the device with a new feature each time. There are several smartphone manufacturers from China and India, but not all make such bold promises.
The CREO Mark 1 sports a very regular looking design, with redesigned Android navigation capacitive buttons. As mentioned earlier, the smartphone runs on a version of Android, with heavily customised skin created by CREO running on top of it. The company chose not to detail the specifications of the device, but GFXBench, a famous benchmarking app, provides a few basic specifications of the phone.
As per the information on GFXBench website, the device has a 4.6-inch with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, which is way too much for a screen size of 4.6 inches. It is powered by MediaTek Helio X10 MT6795 octa-core CPU clocked at 1.9 GHz, while the GPU inside the device is PowerVR Rogue G6200.
Going by the given 2.7 GB of available RAM, and 25 GB of available internal storage, the Mark 1 will have an ample RAM capacity of 3 GB and internal storage of 32 GB. Talking about the camera, the device has a 21 MP shooter on the back, that is capable of recording 4K videos, and the camera on the front is mentioned to be of 7 MP, which is quite an odd resolution.
By providing OTA updates for their device, the company has aims at providing top notch user experience, even after purchasing the device. CREO’s 70-member team is working on just one device, which will be their flagship level smartphone. We can expect the device to be available with great user experience, and hardware, moreover, it is from an Indian start up!
There is no information about the launch date or pricing of the CREO Mark 1. Though, CREO’s website is up, and you can sign up there to get regular updates about the device. Meanwhile, you check out the official teaser video of the device here-
